Falling Star Review

Falling Star by Philip Chen is an absolutely stunning read! I could not stop reading! I was intrigued from the first words, and just kept on reading. Chen really seems to know what he is talking about! I loved it! I want more! There has to be more! Jason, my husband, is not much of a reader, but even he read snippets of it, and said, "Hmmm, I think I might have to read this one." Now, that's a positive review if I ever heard one!

About the book: Falling Star is about the discovery of mysterious objects buried deep in the ocean and what happens when they wake up and start sending signals to outer space. Mike, the principal character, is pulled back into a clandestine world to assist in deciphering of messages, but is attacked by gangs of ordinary Americans bent on killing him. On top of everything else, Mike learns that a revered friend has died. Will the death of Mike's friend forever seal the mystery of these objects mired in the silt and muck of the ocean bottom?

Hmmm. Makes you want to find out more doesn't it? BUY the Kindle/eBook version of the book on Amazon or on Smashwords. Also, visit Chen's blog HERE.

About the author: In my early career, I was an ocean research engineer and worked in the development of deep submergence systems. I have one U.S. Patent on an Underwater Mooring System. Subsequently, I worked as an environmental engineer, trial attorney, investment banker (I was a managing director at several major Wall Street firms), private equity fund manager (in South Africa), corporate executive, cartoonist, and aspiring writer. As a cartoonist, I was a contributor to The New York Times, supplying cartoons for their web-newspaper, The Local. If you are interested, you can find my biography in Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. I have a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Virginia, a Master of Science from Stanford University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota. Finally, I am a proud author-participant in Operation E-Book Drop, a group started by author Edward C. Patterson in 2009 of about 500 plus independent authors who make their e-books available to coalition troops deployed to defend the freedoms that allow people like me to do what we do. If any of your readers are deployed troops (soldiers, sailors and airmen) and are interested in receiving free e-books, including mine, have them contact Edward C. Patterson at edwpat@att.net to be placed on the list of troops to receive these books.
