J.R. Terrier and friends is a 22-book children's series about a lovable but mischievous Jack Russell Terrier and friends. This series is written by a legally blind student and published by Just Believe Publishing Group to purchase laptops for under performing youths in America in the No Child Left Behind program. Additional part of the proceeds will be used to purchase special XO laptops for disadvantaged youths in Tanzania, Uganda, Haiti, Pakistan, and Nicaragua.

My Thoughts:

This is a cute book. Callan enjoyed it, and followed along well. The animals interact with each other and Callan loved that. My personal favorite was the Chihuahua named Taco! The illustrations in the book are good, and I can see this being a decent series - if the other books ever get published!

About The Author:

With a number of awards from international student festivals showcasing her admirable talents as a gifted musician, sculpture and artist, Boston-based Tabitha Z. Baskin is a prolific writer who has an amazing zest for creativity. Born legally blind, she never took it as a hindrance to continue living for her dream and doing what she’s good at. She earned a degree in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts and was given recognition for her talents in the arts and memorization. Her flair for writing comes naturally as she has written 22 books for this interesting children’s series. Tab, as she is fondly called, loves to sing. The piano and the ukulele are her best buddies when she's in the mood to strum her heart out. Her love for animals blends in with her passion for art as seen in her unique creations of shaped and stuffed animals from scratch. Her fashionable side stands out as she also makes her own style clothing and jewelry. As of this writing, her several other novels are awaiting publication.
